Islam: An Overview-PART II

Imam Dawood Yasin, now at Dartmouth and formerly at Yale, has participated in interfaith services here in Wilton, and thus is known locally by Christian and Jewish, as well as Muslim congregants. In the second session of a three part series, Imam Yasin will speak about Islam generally, with a special focus on examining the concept of jihad and the sanctity of life as formulated in the Qur’an and other Islamic texts. Imam Yasin will be introduced by Rabbi Leah Cohen. The remaining talk in this three-part series is March 27 with Dr. Miroslav Volf.
