Children’s Cross Stitch
Wednesday, May 1 and Wednesday, May 8, 4 – 5:30 p.m.
Children in grades 3-5 are invited to this hands-on program where they can learn how to cross stitch. Members of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America will teach basic cross stitch on a small sampler which can then be framed, used as a greetings card insert, or as a coaster. The program consists of 2 sessions. The first is the main teaching session after which students will go away to continue working on their own. The second session follows up with a show-and-tell of the finished product, helping with students’ stitching problems, or advising on further study.
Registration is required and there is a supply fee of $3. Participants may sign-up at the Children’s Department reference desk, payment upon registration. Space is limited. Sponsored by the Embroiderers’ Guild of America.
