Lyme Disease, Meditation and Recent Scientific Breakthroughs

Lyme Disease is a virtual epidemic in our area and treatment for this illness needs to be improved. Join Dr. Brian Fallon and Dr. Charles Alexander for a discussion on Lyme disease and how meditation may be a valuable complement in the treatment of chronic symptoms. Dr. Fallon is the Director of the Lyme and Tick-Borne Diseases Research Center, Director of the Center for Neuroinflammatory Disorders and Biobehavioral Medicine and Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center. He is a world authority on these illnesses and is recognized internationally for his research on neurologic and neuropsychiatric Lyme disease. Dr. Fallon will discuss facts vs. fiction in regards to Lyme disease and where current scientific breakthroughs are leading us. Dr. Alexander is a Psychiatrist who has found increasing evidence that meditation can be an effective complementary treatment in an increasing number of conditions. He is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Frank H. Netter, M.D. School of Medicine of Quinnipac University and co-founder of The Aquarian Path Holistic Health Center in Southport.
