BridgePoetry in Motion: Bridging the Gap

Now through November 7
Teens in grades 7 – 12 are invited to submit original poetry which will culminate in a two-performance poetry event in March 2011 centered on the theme of examining and understanding differences and the ways to bring them together. Topics can focus on age, gender, socio-economic, technological, religious, cultural, ethnicity and more. Program is sponsored by Wilton Library with private funding from generous donors.

ArtArt Exhibition Reception for Silvermine Area Artists

Friday, October 8, 6-7:30 pm
Artists who live in the Silvermine area exhibit their works. Exhibition embraces their diversity of style, subject matter and media. Artists include: Mary Anne Case, Edwina Casey, Michael Cockcroft, Megan Collins, Megan Ferrell, Merion Frolich, Colleen Hains, Virginia Jennewein, Emily Kelting, Tara McKiernan Kovach, Nancy Lloyd, Maureen Mayer, Murat Merdinolu, Gertrude Schmitt, Norm Siegel, Dennis Stevens, Ceal Swift and Andy Whyte. Exhibit runs through Friday, October 29. Portion of proceeds benefits the library. Reception open to the public.
