BridgePoetry in Motion: Bridging the Gap

Now through November 7
Teens in grades 7 – 12 are invited to submit original poetry which will culminate in a two-performance poetry event in March 2011 centered on the theme of examining and understanding differences and the ways to bring them together. Topics can focus on age, gender, socio-economic, technological, religious, cultural, ethnicity and more. Arthur Rubinstein protege and Weston resident Janina Fialkowska presents a program to commemorate Chopin’s and Schumann’s 200th birthdays. ‘Every aspect’ of this Canadian-born pianist’s artistry, writes American Record Guide ‘is astounding’. All performances are on Sunday afternoons at the Wilton Congregational Church located at 70 Ridgefield Road, Wilton. A portion of the proceeds benefits Wilton Library.
