Class limited to ten students—advance registration required. To ensure the best learning experience for all, students are asked to arrive on time; no one will be permitted to enter classroom 10 minutes after the start of class. When the class is full, additional registrants will be added to a wait list. If any original registrants drop out, people from the wait list will be moved up to take the vacated spot.

Connecticut’s Own: The Schubert Club of Fairfield County
Sunday, June 5, 4–5 pm
The Schubert Club of Fairfield County will perform in concert to celebrate their centennial with a special performance of operatic selections sung by duets, trios, quartets, and sextets. Selections include two sextets sung in Italian – one, Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, and the final sextet from Mozart’s Don Giovanni. Three quartets are planned, two by Schubert and the third from The Gondoliers by Gilbert & Sullivan, whose Three Little Maids from The Mikado will also be one of the four trios offered. Two duets from the irreverent P.D.Q. Bach will also ”insinuate” themselves into the program, so you can see, it will be an eclectic group of vocal ensembles with over 30 singers and several piano accompanists involved. Vocalists include: Jennifer Foster of Westport, Linnea Conley of Stamford, Richard Leslie of West Hartford, and from the ensemble, Kirsten Wieser-Scott from Norwalk and Patrice Fitzgerald from West Hartford. As the concluding concert of the fall/winter/spring season, the Schubert Club invites all attendees to a reception following the concert. Registration strongly suggested.
