Teen Summer Reading Program
Monday, June 27
Read a book, record it on a personalized ‘passport,’ and be eligible to win weekly prizes and/or the grand prize! Come to the Teen Department Mondays-Fridays to sign up for a passport and begin reading. Program runs from June 27-August 7.
- Week 1 (6/27-7/2) $10 to Starbucks;
- Week 2 (7/4-7/9) $10 to Swizzles;
- Week 3 (7/11-7/16) $10 to Steve’s Bagels;
- Week 4 (7/18-7/23) $15 to iTunes store;
- Week 5 (7/25-7/30) $15 to Wilton Pizza;
- Week 6 (8/1-8/6) $15 to Bowtie Cinemas.

Dinosaur Club
Monday, June 27, 4-5:30 pm
This weekly club is seeking qualified students entering grades 4-6 to participate in a Science Competition at Yale University held annually in November. The club will explore dinosaurs, fossils, paleobiology, geology and more, through presentations, discussions and demonstrations. The program will include experiments, model building, field trips and hands-on creative activities. Registration required.

Weir Farm Artist-in-Residence

June brings Lisa Brody to the Weir Farm artist in residency program. Lisa Brody has been painting landscapes for most of her career. According to the artist, “Through a contemporary lens I will follow in the great plein air tradition of painting inspired by the natural beauty of Weir Farm.” Lisa Brody studied art at the University of Pennsylvania, (B.F.A & B.A. Fine Arts and Architecture), the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Maine. Co-sponsored by Weir Farm Art Center and Weir Farm National Historic Site and presented by Wilton Library. Registration suggested.

Good Reads, Great Kids
Monday, June 27, 6:15-7 pm
Kids in grades 1 and 2 are invited to join this new book club!! Children and their parents will have the opportunity to meet and discuss books as a group. For this session children are invited to bring a book that they have read recently to talk about in this group setting. In addition to personal selections, we will all discuss the book A Friend for Dragon by Dav Pilkey. Snacks will be provided and a craft will be made. Grades 1and 2. Parents and guardians must be present. Sponsored by the Sherman Family Fund.
