The Literary Horse:
When Legends Come to Life Exhibition
Tuesday, August 30 through Thursday, September 29
Enjoy an exhibition of photographs by Vanessa Smith of horses and riders, paired with quotations from world-famous books, highlighting those published before 1923. Ms. Smith teaches equine photography and creative writing for horse lovers. The exhibition has been organized specifically to tour schools and libraries. Exhibit runs through Thursday, September 29.

WINRs (Wilton Intermediate Nutmeg Readers) Circle
Saturday, September 10, 3-4 pm
Calling all children in grades 4-6! Each month the WINRs Circle book club discusses a new 2012 Nutmeg nominated book. In addition to discussion, children will have the opportunity to participate in activities, games, trivia, and pizza generously donated by Wilton Pizza. This month’s Nutmeg book is Extra Credit by Andrew Clements. Bring a friend, win a prize! Children in grades 4-6 with caregiver in the building. Registration required. New Perspectives Film Series: The September Issue

The September 2007 issue of Vogue magazine weighed nearly five pounds and was the single largest issue of a magazine ever published. With unprecedented access, THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE documentary film tells the story of legendary Vogue editor in chief, Anna Wintour, and her larger-than-life team of editors creating the issue and ruling the world of fashion. Brings “The Devil Wears Prada” to life. Fashion week, high stakes photo shoots, flamboyant designers, are all captured in this look at this glamorous world. Suggested donation of $5. Refreshments served. The New Perspectives Documentary series is programmed and moderated by filmmaker, Megan Smith-Harris. A Q&A will follow the film. Registration highly recommended.
