The Literary Horse:
When Legends Come to Life Exhibition
Tuesday, August 30 through Thursday, September 29
Enjoy an exhibition of photographs by Vanessa Smith of horses and riders, paired with quotations from world-famous books, highlighting those published before 1923. Ms. Smith teaches equine photography and creative writing for horse lovers. The exhibition has been organized specifically to tour schools and libraries. Exhibit runs through Thursday, September 29.

Books for Babies
Wednesday, September 7 through October 26, 10:15-10:45 am
Bring your wonderful baby to an infant-friendly program at the Wilton Library. We will sing and play and enjoy gentle stories geared for babies under 12 months. This is a great forum to meet new parents in the area. Bring Dad too!


Wonderful Ones and Twos with Caregivers
Wednesday, September 7 through October 26, 11-11:30 am
This program is a sharing time for 1 and 2 year olds and their caregivers. The emphasis is on books, with some songs and toy time. This program runs for eight weeks until 10/26. No registration.

Wilton Library Readers
Wednesday September 14, 12-1:30 pm
Professional book discussion leader Susan Boyar discusses two titles this month, Colm Tóibín’s The Master and Henry James‘ The Portrait of a Lady. Group meets second Wednesday of each month from September through May (no meeting in December). Bring lunch; beverages will be provided. WILTON FARMERS’ MARKET

The Wilton Farmers Market is at the Wilton Historical Society, Route 7 at 224 Danbury Road in Wilton, every Wednesday through September 28th, from 2-6 pm Supported by the Wilton Chamber of Commerce, the Wilton Historical Society, and the Wilton Library. Ambler Farm Reads
Wednesday, September 14, 2:15-3 pm
Children ages 4-6 are invited to join Wilton Library in a visit to Ambler Farm. Caregivers and children will meet at Ambler Farm to enjoy theme based stories as well as a nature walk. Children may check books out at the farm, so make sure to bring your library card! The program runs through November. During the month of September the focus will be on seeds; October-fruits; November-animals preparing for winter. Registration required. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Lego Club
Wednesday, September 7, 14, 21 & 28, 4-5 pm
Kids in grades 3 and up are invited to join this weekly Lego® Club. Each session will be based on a new theme such as castles, vehicles, towers and more. Children will learn about the theme through stories and non-fiction books and then create a Lego masterpiece from the library’s Lego collection. A great time for all! There are 20 spots available for this program on a first come first serve basis. Tickets will be passed out at the Children’s reference desk starting at 3:45 pm the day of the program. This program runs for 4 weeks. Sponsored by the Coyle Family Young Readers Fund.
