Parenting Book Series: Dr. Susan Bauerfeld
Monday, November 14, 7-8:30 pm
This new Parenting Book series will introduce parents to important books on parenting. Dr. Susan Bauerfeld, a licensed clinical psychologist and mother of three boys, will review several parenting books over the course of the year. The books will represent a smattering of what is out there. Sessions will consist of an overview of each book and the premise; general practical suggestion on how to apply the principles set forth in the book, and a Q&A period. Preparation for each session (e.g. reading the book) is not required but will most likely enhance the discussion and benefit of the session. The series will take place on the third Tuesday of alternating months (except for January) 11/15, 1/10, 3/20, and 5/15. The book for November is Getting to Calm: Cool-headed Strategies for Parenting Tweens and Teens by Laura Kastner and Jennifer Wyatt. The session repeats Tuesday, November 15 at 10:30 am Registration strongly encouraged.
