Spring Poetry Series with Judson Scruton

Judson Scruton leads this 4-part Spring Poetry Series exploring various poets and their writing techniques. Poetry packets will be available at the front desk before the seminar begins. Advance registration required.

Draw On! with Mr. Skip
Thursday, April 12, 4-5 pm
Children in grades K-2 are invited to this hands-on drawing class with Mr. Skip! Skip Ploss is the author and illustrator behind the books “If Picasso were a Fish” and “Holy Mackerel” among others, the Sharpie behind many hallway bulletin boards at Miller-Driscoll and artistic talent behind Mildred, the school’s new mascot. Draw with Mr. Skip is an hour’s worth of time exploring and creating characters using a black pen and the blank side of a sheet or more of recycled library paper. Part of Aldrich Museum’s annual Draw On! program. Registration is closed. Caregivers must remain in the building.

Hands Only CPR-2 Steps to Save a Life
Thursday, April 12, 7-8:30 pm
All are welcome(*) to this free one-hour class sponsored by the Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Wilton Library. (*) Must be a Wilton resident or working for a Wilton business, a minimum of 18 years old and ‘able-bodied’ to perform chest compressions while on one’s knees. Registration begins at 7 pm; class begins promptly at 7:30. Registration required.
