November brings Maryellen Hackett to the Weir Farm Artist-in-Residence program. While at Weir Farm, Maryellen plans to build on the smaller observational paintings she created in the past. Her artwork has evolved to become a closer study of our national parks and their ever growing sense of home and shelter for her, as well as the desire to document her experience for others. See registration link for more information. Co-sponsored by Weir Farm Art Center and Weir Farm National Historic Site and presented by Wilton Library. No charge. Registration suggested.

The library’s holiday book sale in the gallery is a seasonal delight. Bargains can be found – all items are new or like-new condition, making a terrific opportunity for holiday gift-giving. Items include books, unopened CDs and DVDs, children’s books and a huge assortment of art books. As items are sold, new ones appear, thanks to the hard-working book sale volunteers, who always seem to have an un-ending supply of tantalizing offerings. All sales support the library. Sale opens at noon on Nov. 24 and continues during regular library hours through Jan. 3. Library closed Thursday, Nov. 26 for Thanksgiving.

Come join Wilton Library’s new book group dedicated to 'food literature!' This month's book is The Cassoulet Saved Our Marriage: True Tales of Food, Family, and How We Learn to Eat by Caroline Grant.  Pamela Lillis, a nutritional health coach, avid reader, and lover of food lit, will moderate the discussion.  No charge.  Registration recommended.

Have a blast learning about electricity! Use Snap Circuits to explore the basics of electricity while you build exciting projects such as a fan launcher, a space battle sound-effect generator, a radio and more! No experience necessary.
