Wilton Library will be closing at 3:00 pm on Thanksgiving Eve – Wednesday, November 26th.

Welcome to Wilton Library

Events:

Ray Rauth will lead a discussion of All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque. As we in 2014 observe the hundredth anniversary of the start of World War I, this classic novel of WWI, written from the German perspective, demands to be read.  The book does not focus on the heroic stories of war but gives a view of the conditions in which the soldiers find themselves and which they must endure. This group meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month from September through May, excluding December. Call the Senior Center for details and to register at (203) 834-6240. Comstock Community Center, 180 School Road, Wilton.

The library’s holiday book sale in the gallery is a seasonal delight. Bargains can be found - most of the items are new or like-new condition, making a terrific opportunity for holiday gift-giving. Items include an immense variety of books, unopened CDs and DVDs, children’s books and a huge assortment of art books. As items are sold, new ones appear daily, thanks to the hard-working book sale volunteers, who always seem to have an un-ending supply of tantalizing offerings. All sales support the library.

This is a 2-day workshop conducted by the Red Cross for students ages 11-15. Upon completion of the course, all students will receive a babysitting certification. Cost of $85.00 due before class. To register, call Susan L. at 203-762-3950 x243. (Registration cannot be done online.) Once placed on the list, the patron must send a check in the amount of $85 made out to Wilton Library to Susan in order to hold the spot. Maximum of 12 per class.
