Planning a family reunion or anniversary party? Gather up your old photos, slides and negatives and we'll show you how to turn them into digitized images. Then email or take those images home with you on a thumb drive to create event mementos. For 7th graders through adults and 6th grade students accompanied by adults who are willing to learn too!   Must have a valid CT Library card and signed Innovation Station Agreement form.  Please bring the completed form to the workshop. Space limited to 2 students per session.  Registration required. 

Weekly drop-in for knitters and crocheters. Make new friends, get tips and share ideas while working on your own projects. New to stitching but want to give it a try? We have needles and yarn for you to test out. No registration required.

In this one-on-one session, let us introduce you to our electronic sewing machine and embellish napkins or dish towels with decorative stitches. $4 fee for a set of two napkins or towels, payable upon arrival. For 7th graders to adults and 6th graders accompanied by adults who are willing to learn too. Must have a valid CT library card and signed Innovation Station Agreement Form. Join us for hand clapping-toe tapping songs, finger plays and stories that encourage emerging language skills. No program charge. No registration required. Children must be accompanied by caregivers.

Using the concept of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) a member of the Children's Library staff will facilitate a different activity every Tuesday through June 7 to allow children to explore, create, innovate, design, imagine and just have a lot of fun! At 3:45 on the day of the program, tickets for that afternoon's program will be handed out on a first-come-first-serve basis at the Children's Reference Desk. Space is limited. Snap Circuits- Explore the basics of electricity while you build exciting projects such as a sound activated switch, a two-speed fan, a musical doorbell and more! Programs are open to children in 1st through 5th grades.  Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a caregiver. Children under 12 must have a caregiver in the building.
