Everyone is covered in this fundraiser - from tots to teens in the Brubeck Room to a full Book Cellar for adults featuring a large assortment of items in more than 50 categories (all new donations since April Book Sale). 

Sale is free to public Monday, Sept. 25 from 10 am to 5 pm (Monday is half-price day).

Planning a family reunion or anniversary party? Gather up your old photos, slides and negatives and we'll show you how to turn them into digitized images. Then email or take those images home with you on a thumb-drive to create event mementos. For 7th graders through adults and 6th grade students accompanied by adults who are willing to learn too.   Must have a valid CT Library card and signed Innovation Station Agreement form.  Please bring the completed form to the workshop. Space limited to 2 students per session.  Registration required. 

Weekly drop-in for knitters and crocheters. Make new friends, get tips and share ideas while working on your own projects. New to stitching but want to give it a try? We have needles and yarn for you to test out. No registration required.

Children ages 4 and 5 are invited to join us for this drop-in story time. Each week we will explore different topics such as woodland creatures, transportation, dinosaurs, fairy tales, and more. Children will hear stories, watch short book films, as well as participate in fun activities and crafts. Ages 4 and 5 with caregivers in the building. No registration, no fee. No session October 9.

Join the library for 2 and 3-year-old story time. Children and their caregivers will sing songs, listen to stories, and enjoy playtime together while building literacy and social skills. No registration, no fee.

Music Lovers Take Note

The library’s Awesome Autumn Book Sale fundraiser takes place Saturday, September 23 through Monday, September 25. In addition to all the wonderful book bargains one can imagine, this year the sale boasts more than 1,100 classical, jazz and Latin CDs and close to 100 classical DVDs, with more than 30% of them brand new and still shrink-wrapped. For vinyl enthusiasts, more than 400 records in pop culture music are available. Everything is priced to sell.  The sale offers early buyer admission on Saturday, from 9 – 10 am for a nominal $5 fee.
