Welcome to Wilton Library
Twice-weekly classes in English as a Second Language begin on Wednesday, Jan. 28 and continue on Mondays and Wednesdays until Wednesday, April 29 at Wilton Library given by Westport Continuing Education. Interested in learning the basics of how to use our new 3D printer, the MakerBot Replicator 2X? If so, join us for a one-hour group demonstration. Afterwards, you can sign up for an individual session and make your own 3D object! For ages 13 and up, and 6th and 7th graders with adults. Must have a valid CT Library card and signed Innovation Station Agreement Form. Please bring the completed form to the workshop. Space limited to 12 students per session. Registration required.
Bring your wonderful baby to this infant friendly program at the Wilton Library. We will sing and play and enjoy gentle stories geared for babies under 12 months old. This is an excellent forum to meet other new parents in the area. No registration, no fee. Caregivers must be present.
This program is a sharing time for 1 and 2 year-olds and their caregivers. The emphasis is on books, with some songs and toy time. No registration, no program fee.
PROGRAM CANCELED: Prom and wedding season is fast approaching. This year, instead of ordering a boutonniere or corsage, learn how to make your own. Sue Wall from the Wilton Garden Club will give you hands-on instruction and send you home with one of each. Class size limited. Sponsored by the Wilton Garden Club and Wilton Library.
CALLING ALL MAKERS! Wilton Library’s Innovation Day will showcase the work of all kinds and ages of makers—anyone who is embracing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math) or the DIY (Do-It-Yourself) movement and wants to share their accomplishments with an appreciative audience. Presentations, workshops, and exhibitions– we’re looking for them all! We particularly encourage those who demonstrate the process of making things or have interactive exhibits. There will be no selling of merchandise or services, but exhibitors are free to distribute information or accept orders for their products or services. Apply today!
