Kids ages 8 and up are invited to join Wilton Library’s Minecraft Computer Club. A server for Fairfield County has been set up with a virtual world where the Minecraft community in Wilton can meet and the club welcomes the enthusiasts. Please note: Minecraft is a subscription-based, online game. Players must bring their own laptop and create their own account. Handheld devices are not recommended because they run a Minecraft app that does not work with the same server. To be added to the Fairfield County server you must visit the Children’s Desk with a valid library card to be registered. Caretakers must sign in their child with staff member. If the child is not present and signed in by 10:10, the place may be given to a waitlisted child. Caretakers must remain in the building. Registration required; no fee.
Planning a family reunion or anniversary party? Gather up your old photos, slides and negatives and we'll show you how to turn them into digitized images. Then email or take those images home with you on a thumb drive to create event mementos. For 7th graders through adults and 6th grade students accompanied by adults who are willing to learn too! Learn how to use the Cricut, our die cutter and create a unique tumbler to give someone or use yourself! $5 to offset costs, payable upon arrival. In the this one-on-one session, let us introduce you to our electronic embroidery machine and monogram a tea towel, apron, baby bib or burp cloth. Aprons available for $7. All other items are $5.
