Terrific Tales for Twos and Threes

Join Wilton Library for 2 and 3-year old story time. Children and their caregivers will sing songs, listen to stories, and enjoy playtime together while building literacy and social skills. The program runs 8 weeks.

Look, Listen and Learn

Tuesday, Jan. 8 through Tuesday, Feb. 26  , 11:00 – 11:30 pm.
For 3 and 4 years-olds with a caregiver. By interacting with stories, singing songs and acting out finger plays and rhymes, children in this program gain pre-reading skills and learn how to participate in a group setting. The program repeats for 8 weeks.

Tuesday Book Buzz

Tuesday, Jan. 15, 11 – noon.
Looking for something good to read next? Bring a friend and join the Book Buzz conversation moderated by Lauren McLaughlin and Melissa Baker, two of Wilton Library’s knowledgeable librarians, on the third Tuesday of each month. Participants are encouraged to come and chat about their most recent favorite reads or just listen to what others recommend.  Pick up new pre-publication books when available. Hear about upcoming books being released and be the first to reserve them at the library. Get the inside scoop on upcoming author visits.  Registration suggested especially during winter months but not required. Additional first quarter dates:  Feb. 19; March 19.

Exam Time Study Rooms for Wilton High School Students

Monday, Jan. 14 through Thursday, Jan. 17, 12 – 5 p.m.
Quiet study space on the second floor of the library will be available from 12 to 5 each day for students to study for mid-term exams. Students may also book individual study rooms until 8 p.m. each evening by calling Wilton Library’s reference librarians at 203-762-3950, ext. 211.

Literary Littles

Tuesday, Jan. 8 through Feb 26, 2:15 – 3 pm.
For independent listeners ages 4-6 years-old. This is a story time that provides children with experiences that enrich early literacy. Children will hear stories, watch short films, sing songs, and do a craft. This program repeats for 8 sessions.
