ESL (English as a Second Language)

Monday, January 28 through Wednesday, April 24, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Cancelled
Twice-weekly classes in English as a Second Language will begin on Monday, January 28th and will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays until April 24th at the Wilton Library given by Westport Continuing Education. (There will be no classes on Feb. 18th, Feb. 20th, April 15th and April 17th.) Testing and registration required. Testing takes place at Wilton Library from 9:30 – 11 a.m. on Jan. 16.

Books for Babies

Wednesday, Jan. 9 through Wednesday, Feb. 27 , 10:15 – 10:45 a.m.
Bring your wonderful baby to this infant friendly program at the Wilton Library. We will sing and play and enjoy gentle stories geared for babies under 12 months old.  This is an excellent forum to meet other new parents in the area. The program repeats for 8 weeks.  Caregivers must be present.

Wonderful Ones and Twos

Wednesday, Jan. 9 through Wednesday, Feb. 27, 11-11:30 am .
This program is a sharing time for 1 and 2 year-olds and their caregivers. The emphasis is on books, with some songs and toy time. This program repeats for 8 weeks.

Computer Class: Getting Started – Facebook for the Faint of Heart

Wednesday, Jan. 30, 12:30 – 2 p.m.
If you are a baby boomer, senior, or someone who just hasn’t had time to devote to the exploration of social media until now, this class is for you. Mary Anne Franco will show you what Facebook is about, how to post photos, message your “friends,” find “friends” and talk about privacy settings. Demonstration-style class. Registration suggested.

Creation Station!

Wednesday, Jan. 9, 16, 23 & 30 , 4 – 5 p.m.
Each week different materials will be available for children in grades K through 5 to make any creation they choose. This is the perfect opportunity for children to innovate, communicate, and express themselves in a free-form environment. Some materials that may be available are Legos®, arts and crafts materials, model cars, Lego Technics®, science kits, and more. Grades K-5 with caregivers in the building.
