Twice-weekly classes in English as a Second Language will begin on Monday, January 28th and will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays until April 24th at the Wilton Library given by Westport Continuing Education. (There will be no classes on Feb. 18th, Feb. 20th, April 15th and April 17th.) Testing and registration required. Testing takes place at Wilton Library from 9:30 – 11 a.m. on Jan. 16.
Monday, Jan. 7 through Feb 25, 2:15 – 3 pm.
For independent listeners ages 4-6 years-old. This is a story time that provides children with experiences that enrich early literacy. Children will hear stories, watch short films, sing songs, and do a craft. This program repeats for 6 sessions. No sessions Jan. 21 or Feb. 18.
Teen Advisory Board Meeting
Monday, Feb. 4, 3:45 – 5:15 p.m.
Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to join us for our Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meeting. TAB is a group of teens who work with the library by helping select materials for the teen collection, planning teen events, and more. Applications are available online for first time attendees or by emailing Marissa Antosh, Youth Services Assistant, at email@example.com. Newcomers always welcome. Registration is recommended.
Whodunit? Book Club
Rescheduled: Monday, Feb. 4, 4 – 4:45 p.m.
Kids in grades 2 and 3 are invited to join this mystery book club. Children will have the opportunity to meet and discuss mystery books as a group. The book for January is Saxby Smart in the Curse of the Ancient Mask and Other Case Files by Simon Cheshire. Snacks will be provided, along with fun detective activities. Grades 2 and 3. Parents and guardians must be in the Library. Sponsored by the Sherman Family Fund.
