ESL (English as a Second Language)

Twice-weekly classes in English as a Second Language will begin on Monday, January 28th and will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays until April 24th at the Wilton Library given by Westport Continuing Education. (There will be no classes on Feb. 18th, Feb. 20th, April 15th and April 17th.) Testing and registration required. Testing takes place at Wilton Library from 9:30 – 11 a.m. on Jan. 16.

Literary Littles
Monday, Jan. 7 through Feb 25, 2:15 – 3 pm.
For independent listeners ages 4-6 years-old. This is a story time that provides children with experiences that enrich early literacy. Children will hear stories, watch short films, sing songs, and do a craft. This program repeats for 6 sessions. No sessions Jan. 21 or Feb. 18.

Valentine Cake Pops for Teens
Monday, Feb. 11, 4 – 5:30 p.m.
Come make a sweet treat for Valentine’s Day. Create and decorate cake pops to enjoy by yourself or share with family and friends. For teens in grades 6-12. Registration required. Sponsored by the John and Patricia Curran Teen Fund.


Weir Farm Artist-in-Residence Exhibition/Reception: Laura Krause

February brings Laura Krause to the Weir Farm artist in residency program. February brings Laura Krause to the Weir Farm artist in residency program. Laura’s plan is to use her large format cameras along with her DSLR to photograph the winter environment at Weir Farm. Her goal is “for her nature photos to reflect her respect and awe, to showcase the spaces and natural areas as well as create a sense of peace within the viewer.” Co-sponsored by Weir Farm Art Center and Weir Farm National Historic Site and presented by Wilton Library. Registration suggested.
