First Saturday Books for Babies
Saturday, March 2, 9:30 – 10 a.m.
Bring your wonderful baby to this infant friendly program at the Wilton Library! We will sing and play and enjoy gentle stories geared for babies under 12 months old on the first Saturday of each month before the library opens. This is an excellent forum to meet other new parents in the area. Bring dad too! Registration suggested.


AARP Driver Safety Class
Saturday, March 2, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The AARP Driver Safety Program is designed especially for drivers age 50 and older. This single session, four hour course covers the normal changes in vision, hearing and reaction time associated with ageing and provides practical techniques on how to adjust to these changes, along with learning to operate vehicles more safely in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment. No written or driving tests; classroom only. Registration required. Program cost: $12 for AARP members; $14 for non-members. Bring check or cash only. Connecticut residents only.


Minecraft Club
Saturday, March 2, 10 – noon.
Minecraft is an online computer game unlike any other. It is a creative game. Worlds made out of individual blocks are generated. In these unique worlds players can build anything, mine anything, create anything, and interact with other players. The only limit is your imagination. A server for the Wilton Library has been set up with a virtual world where the Minecraft community in Wilton can meet. Minecraft enthusiasts are welcome to join the Minecraft Computer Club on Saturday mornings between 10- noon to discuss and play everything Minecraft in the Children’s Library. Ages 8 and up. Registration required.
Please note: Minecraft is a subscription-based, online game. Players must bring their own laptop and create their own account.


Dr. Seuss Crafts
Saturday, March 2, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Children of all ages can stop by the Library to make a Dr. Seuss craft to take home. Happy birthday Dr. Seuss!

Read Across America Day
Saturday, March 2, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Dr. Seuss’ birthday is also Read Across America Day! Kids of all ages can stop by the Library and tell the Library staff member at the Children’s desk all about their favorite book, and they will receive a special reading certificate. Kids caught reading IN the library on Saturday and will also get a special prize. Sponsored by the Coyle Family Young Readers Fund.

Story Time with the Cat in the Hat
Saturday, March 2, 11 – 11:45 a.m.
Meet the Cat in the Hat in celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday! Children ages 3 and up are invited to hear some stories told by the loveable Cat in the Hat. A craft will also be made. Perhaps Thing One and Thing Two will join us…? Sponsored by the Coyle Family Young Readers Fund.
