Downton Abbey Marathon
Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19, 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.
In celebration of National Library Week, the library is screening the three seasons of Downton Abbey, complete with tea service and biscuits. Fascinators and decorative hats are encouraged! Lord Grantham, his daughters, the servants and of course, the Dowager Countess will parade across the screen in the Brubeck Room in all their early 20th century British glory. Season 1 will be shown Monday through Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will include highlights of Seasons 2 and 3. Drop in and join the fun and catch up on what everyone’s talking about! Or just get a Downton fix with friends.
Board Game Extravaganza!
Thursday, April 18, 1 – 5 p.m.
Get ready to play some great board games! Roll the dice and see if you’ll end up a millionaire at Monopoly! Take a wind-about way through Candyland or beat your friends at Operation. Come and play with the Wilton Library’s extensive collection of fun and exciting board games. And while you’re there, be sure to play the ever popular game of Trivial Pursuit! All kids ages 3 and up should get their game faces on! Children under 8 must be accompanied by caregivers; ages 8 – 12 must have caregivers remain in the building.
Computer Class: Getting Started—Basic PowerPoint 2007
Thursday, April 18, 6-7:30 pm
Mary Anne Franco shows how to create and format a basic presentation in PowerPoint 2007 in this free, hands-on class. Basic computer skills, including mouse proficiency, required. Advance registration required. Class limited to 10 students. To insure the best learning experience for all, latecomers will not be seated ten minutes past the posted start time. The door to the Training Lab will be closed at that time.
This is the same class offered on Wednesday, April 17, from 12:30 – 2 p.m.
