ESL (English as a Second Language)

Monday, January 28 through Wednesday, April 24, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Cancelled
Twice-weekly classes in English as a Second Language will begin on Monday, January 28th and will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays until April 24th at the Wilton Library given by Westport Continuing Education. (There will be no classes on Feb. 18th, Feb. 20th, April 15th and April 17th.) Testing and registration required. Testing takes place at Wilton Library from 9:30 – 11 a.m. on Jan. 16.

Literary Littles

Monday, March 18 through Monday, May 20, 2:15 – 3 p.m.
For independent listeners ages 4-6 years. This is a story time that provides children with experiences that enrich early literacy. Children will hear stories, watch short films, sing songs, and do a craft. This program repeats for ten weeks.

Whodunit? Book Club

Monday, April 22, 4 – 4:45 p.m.
Kids in grades 2 and 3 are invited to join this mystery book club. Children will have the opportunity to meet and discuss mystery books as a group. The book for April is The Secret of Robber’s Cave by Kristiana Gregory. Snacks will be provided, along with fun detective activities. Grades 2 and 3. Parents and guardians must be in the Library. Sponsored by the Sherman Family Fund.

WLA/LWV – Reel Mondays: High Tech, Low Life

Monday, April 22 , 7 – 9:30 p.m.
High Tech, Low Life follows the journey of two of China’s first citizen reporters as they travel the country – chronicling underreported news and social issues stories navigating China’s evolving censorship regulations and avoiding the risk of political persecution. Moderator to be announced. Refreshments served. Co-sponsored by the Wilton League of Women Voters and Wilton Library. Registration recommended.
