Welcome to Wilton Library

Events:

Children who are not yet entering Kindergarten are invited to participate in our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program for the summer and beyond. During the summer, children will receive a special bonus prize for visiting the library each week. Make sure children say ‘hello’ to a Children's Librarian and sign up for Wilton Library cards in their names! In person registration required. 1000 Books Before Kindergarten at Wilton Library is sponsored by Tiger Tales, and Cohen and Wolf. Call the Children’s Library for details at 203-762-6336.

Join Wilton Library this summer for our Water, Wind & World Summer Reading Program.  Children can register on Wandoo Reader, an online reading log to keep track of their reading anywhere they go as long as they have an internet connection.  By reading, logging, and completing challenges, kids will be eligible for benchmark prizes throughout the summer.  The Water, Wind & World program stimulates kids’ imaginations with wonderful stories and fun activities while learning about ecosystems, animals, and resources in the world they live in. Drop-in story times, drop-in activities, large-group enrichment and entertainment programs and animal visits are just some of the events planned though August 25.  Think of us as your free stay-at-home summer camp experience.

Most of the programs are supported by the Amadeo Family. Reading prizes are sponsored by the following local businesses: The Pastry Hideaway, Scoops, Subway and the Toy Chest.

In this one-on-one session, let us introduce you to our electronic embroidery machine and embroider or monogram a chef’s apron for the farmer’s market season. $7 fee payable upon arrival. For 7th graders to adults and 6th graders accompanied by adults who are willing to learn too. Must have a valid CT library card and signed Innovation Station Agreement Form. Please bring the completed form to the workshop. For a follow-up training session, please email innovation@wiltonlibrary.org.

Weekly drop-in for knitters and crocheters. Make new friends, get tips and share ideas while working on your own projects. New to stitching but want to give it a try? We have needles and yarn for you to test out. No registration required.

This is a two-day babysitting workshop for students ages 11-15 and is conducted by a certified Red Cross Babysitting Trainer. Upon completion of the course, everyone will receive a Red Cross babysitting certification. Cost is $70 which includes the course text, first aid pack, LED flashlight, and drawstring bag. Payment due before class. To register, call the teen department at 203-762-6342. Once placed on the list, please send a check in the amount of $70 made out to Wilton Library to hold the spot.
