Welcome to Wilton Library


Calling all daughters and mothers who want to read about heroines that are smart, brave, strong and kind. In the third session we will read Eleanor Estes's iconic book The Hundred Dresses which teaches a life lesson about the power of kindness, so important for young people today. There may even be a surprise visitor to talk about the book. For grades 3-5. Refreshments will be served. Registration required. Register online or call 203-762-6336.

The Library's holiday Book Sale in the gallery is a seasonal delight where bargains can be found - featuring a large array of PRISTINE books, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks suitable for gift-giving to all ages. As items are sold, new ones appear daily. All sales support the library. Sale opens at noon on November 30 and continues during regular library hours through January 2, 2017. Library closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

If you're a girl in grades 6 - 12 and want to learn to create mobile apps, games and websites, join Girls Who Code. No experience necessary -- just enthusiasm and willingness to try new things! We're part of a national club that offers project-based activities in a fun and creative environment. This is an ongoing program where each week builds on skills learned in previous weeks.  

We'll meet for twice a month on Sundays from September 15, 2016 to June 4, 2017 as follows: September 25; October 2 & 23; November 6 & 20; December 4 & 18; January 8 & 22; February 5 & 12, March 5 & 19; April 2 & 23; May 7 & 21; June 4.  

Registration required. Supported by Girls Who Code.

Come etch two votives for the holidays using the die cutter and some simple supplies. $5 per person includes two votives and candles, payable upon arrival. For 7th grade through adults and 6th graders accompanied by adults. Space limited. Registration required.
