Candace Bushnell is the critically acclaimed, international bestselling writer whose first book, Sex and the City, was the basis for HBO’s hit series and subsequent blockbuster movies. Other novels, including Lipstick Jungle and The Carrie Diaries, have become hit television series as well. She visits the library to discuss her latest novel, Killing Monica, about an actress who plays the part of a popular character created from a series of books – and becomes obsessed with living out every part of the story in her real life, turning the world of the series’ writer upside down. The book is delivered in Bushnell’s signature style and wit. Q&A and book signing will follow the talk. No charge. Registration highly recommended. Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Elm Street Books, New Canaan.

Children ages 2 – 6 and their caregivers are invited to a fun performance by Robert the Guitar Guy. Robert uses music, props, movement, and dance to entertain children and their grown-ups. Registration recommended; no fee. Parent and each child must be registered separately. Sponsored by the Coyle Family Young Readers Fund.

Children in grades K and up are invited to join this weekly Garden Club. Throughout the spring, summer, and fall we will plan, plant, tend, and eat fruits and vegetables in our raised-bed garden. During the month of April we will meet to plan our garden and prepare for springtime planting. This is a fun activity for the whole family!

Registration is closed.
