The Pages through the Ages Summer Reading Program is now online!
Patrons can use our new summer reader program, Evanced, to register and log their summer reading. Prize coupons can be printed and brought to the library for redemption. Some highlights of the online program are: flexibility by being able to log-on whenever and wherever throughout the summer; convenience of keeping track of reading online and ability to print lists easily (teachers love to see what the kids read over the summer); attractive graphics are engaging and help encourage participation; on-demand access allows vacationing patrons to participate, too. The online program can be accessed from internet-capable computers, laptops, iPads and more. Call the Children’s Library for more information at 203-762-3950, ext. 217.

Teen Summer Reading
Friday, June 21 through Friday, August 16th
This year our summer reading program is online. Teens entering grades 6-12 can use Evanced to register and log their summer reading. Weekly raffle and prizes awarded. On vacation? At camp? Can’t get off the couch? No problem! This program allows teens to log-on whenever and wherever throughout the summer. All that’s needed is internet access! All prizes must be picked up at the Wilton Library.

Wilton Library’s 69th Annual Summer Show Exhibition
Now through Aug. 30
More than 50 Wilton artists display their diverse styles, media, and subjects in the second month of the annual Summer Show. Exhibit runs through Friday, August 30th. A portion of the proceeds benefits the library.
Books for Babies
Tuesday, July 9 through Tuesday, Aug. 13, 10:15 – 10:45 a.m.
Bring your wonderful baby to this infant friendly program at the Wilton Library. We will sing and play and enjoy gentle stories geared for babies under 12 months old. This is an excellent forum to meet other new parents in the area. Caregivers must be present. This program runs for six weeks.
Wonderful Ones and Twos
Tuesday, July 9 through Tuesday, Aug. 13, 11 – 11:30 a.m.
This program is a sharing time for 1 and 2 year olds and their caregivers. The emphasis is on books, with some songs and toy time. This program runs for six weeks.
Terrific Tales for Threes
Tuesday, July 9 through Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2:30 – 3 p.m.
Three-year olds and their caregivers will sing songs, listen to stories, and enjoy playtime together while building literacy and social skills. This program runs for six weeks.
Fabulous Fours through Sevens
Tuesday, July 9 through Tuesday, Aug. 13, 3:30 – 4:15 p.m.
Children ages four through seven are invited to join in some story time fun this summer! Kids will listen to stories, watch a short film, and make a craft to take home. This is an excellent way to encourage reading over the summer. This program runs for six weeks.
Visiting Author: Vatsala Warrier – Mortal Bonds
Tuesday, July 9 , 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Author Vatsala Warrier comes to Wilton Library to discuss her latest collection of short stories, Mortal Bonds. Her first collection, Under the Rain Tree, received positive reviews. She recently won a national award from the Indian Women’s Press Corps, New Delhi for her literary skills. She received her education in Mumbai and the University of Florida. Registration is suggested.
Teen Band featuring Grey Rocks
Tuesday, July 9, 8 – 9:30 p.m.
Four Wilton teen musicians — Ryan Amodei, Forest Rappaport, Cole Smith and Wes Wallace – come together for a wonderful musical performance. Open to teens of all ages, families and friends. Registration suggested. Refreshments served. Sponsored by the John and Patricia Curran Teen Fund.
