Mother Goose on the Loose is a themed story time for children ages 6 months to 2 years old. Children will sing songs, listen to stories, move to music, and learn nursery rhymes. Mother Goose on the Loose is a research-based program intended to help infants and toddlers develop early literacy skills in an active and fun environment. Felt boards, puppets, instruments, and props will be used. **Please note-in an effort to create a small, consistent group experience, this program uses a lottery system for registration. Lottery registration forms are available at the Children's Library desk starting March 2015 and must be returned by April 6, 2015. Patrons will be notified via email if they receive a spot.

Bring your Magic cards and come join others in this wizardry game of chance and skill. For teens in grades 7 - 9.

Children in grades 3-7 will get instruction from Christopher Potts, an instructor, tournament player and US Chess Federation certified tournament director. In this program, advanced players will: review the basics; learn more advanced strategy and tactics; learn optimal opening and endgame play; gain an appreciation for the vital importance of making and carrying out sound plans. Time will be provided for students to play games and put the classroom lessons into practice. Program fee is $80 per student for all eight meetings. In-person registration is required, payment due at time of registration.
