StorytimeTerrific Tales for Twos and Threes

Tuesday, Sept. 10 through Tuesday, Nov. 12, 10:15 – 10:45 a.m.
Join Wilton Library for 2 and 3-year old story time.  Children and their caregivers will sing songs, listen to stories, and enjoy playtime together while building literacy and social skills. This program runs for 10 weeks.

StorytimeLook, Listen and Learn

Tuesday, Sept. 10 through Tuesday, Nov. 12, 11 – 11:30 a.m. 
For 3 and 4 years-olds with a caregiver. By interacting with stories, singing songs and acting out finger plays and rhymes, children in this program gain pre-reading skills and learn how to participate in a group setting. This program runs for 10 weeks.

Senior Center Book Discussion: The Gift of Rain

Tuesday, Oct. 22, 11 a.m. – noon.
Melissa Baker leads a discussion of The Gift of Rain by Tan Twan Eng. Described by The London Times Literary Supplement as, “A powerful first novel about a tumultuous and almost forgotten period of history, The Gift of Rain is a war novel with a personal odyssey at its heart, one that complicates the stark lines of right and wrong during wartime –¦drawing the reader into a web of divided loyalties.   Group meets 4th Tuesday of each month through May (no meeting in December). Literary Littles

Tuesday, Sept. 10 through Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2:15 – 3:00 p.m.
For independent listeners ages 4 – 5 years. This is a story time that provides children with experiences that enrich early literacy. Children will hear stories, watch short films, sing songs, and do a craft. This program runs for 10 weeks.

Teen Advisory Board Meeting

Tuesday, Oct. 22, 3:30 – 5 p.m.
Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to join a monthly Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meeting.  TAB is a group of teens who work with the library by helping select materials for the teen collection, planning teen events, and more. Input from the board helps to create a better library for all teens.  Newcomers always welcome! Newcomers can fill out an application and bring it to the meeting or fill them out there.  Registration is recommended.
