Bus Trip to Yale Art Gallery

Tuesday, Nov. 19 , 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
As a follow-up to the Adair Burlingham Memorial Lecture on Nov. 1, a trip to visit the Yale Art Gallery in New Haven is planned. The cost of the trip is $30 per person and includes a personalized guided tour of the gallery highlighting the renovations, and bus transportation to and from the Yale Art Gallery.  After the tour, attendees will have 3 hours free time for more gallery exploration or lunch on one’s own. The bus will leave the Library promptly at 9:30 a.m. and will return by approximately 4 p.m.  Payment with registration must be completed by Tuesday, Nov. 12.  The museum trip is co-sponsored by Wilton Library and Weir Farm.  To register, please call 203-762-3950, ext. 213 or visit the Circulation Desk.

Tuesday Book Buzz

Tuesday, Nov. 19, 11 – noon.
Looking for something good to read next? Bring a friend and join the Book Buzz conversation moderated by Lauren McLaughlin and Melissa Baker, two of Wilton Library’s knowledgeable librarians, on the third Tuesday of each month. Participants are encouraged to come and chat about their most recent favorite reads or just listen to what others recommend.  Pick up new pre-publication books when available. Hear about upcoming books being released and be the first to reserve them at the library. Get the inside scoop on upcoming author visits.  Registration suggested. Next date: Dec. 17.

Teen Advisory Board Meeting

Tuesday, Nov. 19, 3:30 – 5 p.m.
Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to join a monthly Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meeting.  TAB is a group of teens who work with the library by helping select materials for the teen collection, planning teen events, and more. Input from the board helps to create a better library for all teens.  Newcomers always welcome! Newcomers can fill out an application and bring it to the meeting or fill them out there.  Registration is recommended. WLA/Wilton Chamber of Commerce Speaker Series: Health Care Reform and You
