Minecraft Club

Saturday, Jan. 18, 10 – noon.
Kids ages 8 and up are invited to join Wilton Library’s Minecraft Computer Club.  A server for Fairfield County has been set up with a virtual world where the Minecraft community in Wilton can meet and the club welcomes the enthusiasts. Please note: Minecraft is a subscription-based, online game.  Players must bring their own laptop and create their own account.  To be added to the Fairfield County server you must visit the Children’s Desk with a valid library card to be registered.  Registration required.

StorytimeSaturday Stories

Saturday, Jan. 4, 11 & 18, 10:30 – 11 a.m.
Take a break from errand running and dropping kids off at sports and enjoy a good story or two. It’s fun for moms and dads to share a Story Time experience with their kids that they might not get to do on weekdays! For ages 3-5 with caregivers.

New Perspectives Film Series—Paul Williams Still Alive

Saturday, Jan. 18, 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Paul Williams was a megastar singer/actor/songwriter in the ‘70s with Academy, Grammy and Golden Globe Awards lavished on him. He wrote many #1 song hits, starred in a Brian DePalma movie, yet who is he and what has he been doing? This documentary by Filmmaker Stephen Kessler is a wistful musical journey that will re-introduce a new generation to Williams’ soulful classics. Suggested donation of $5. Refreshments served. The New Perspectives Documentary series is programmed and moderated by filmmaker, Megan Smith-Harris. A Q&A will follow the film. Registration highly recommended.
