ESL (English as a Second Language)

Wednesday, Jan. 29 through Wednesday, April 28, 9:30 – 11 a.m.
Twice-weekly classes in English as a Second Language will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 29 and will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays until April 28 at Wilton Library given by Westport Continuing Education. (There will be no class the weeks of Feb. 17-21 and April 14-18) Testing and registration required.

Stock Market Game for Teens

Monday, Feb. 10 through Monday, April 7, 4 – 5:30 p.m.
Interested in how the stock market works? Join SMG (The Stock Market Game), a simulated marketplace played by teens all around the world. Working individually or in teams of two, you’ll be given $100,000 in virtual cash and then build a portfolio, do research, evaluate stocks, trade common stocks and mutual funds and more.  Tracey Morgan, a former Senior Trader of foreign exchange derivatives will be running this nine week program — Mondays, from 02/10-04/07. No class on 02/17. First class meets from 4-5:30 p.m. All other classes meet from 4-5 p.m. For teens in grades 7-12. Registration required.

Irish Music with Bill Devlin

Monday, March 17, 4 – 5 p.m.
Come to Wilton Library to hear authentic Irish music with Bill Devlin. Bill Devlin (wooden flute, whistle) has studied with traditional Galway flute player Jack Coen of the Bronx. He has been performing with the Shamrogues of Fairfield, Conn. for the past fourteen years. Appropriate and enjoyable for young and old, come celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day with us! Sponsored by the Coyle Family Young Readers Fund. Grades 1 and up. No charge. Registration recommended.
