Mother Goose on the Loose is a themed story time for children ages 6 months to 2 years old. Children will sing songs, listen to stories, move to music, and learn nursery rhymes. Mother Goose on the Loose is a research-based program intended to help infants and toddlers develop early literacy skills in an active and fun environment. Felt boards, puppets, instruments, and props will be used.

Please note-in an effort to create a small, consistent group experience, this program uses a lottery system for registration. Lottery registration forms are available at the Children’s Library desk starting March 17, 2014 and must be returned by April 7, 2014. Patrons will be notified via email if they receive a spot.

Author Talk: Amy Newmark—Chicken Soup for the Soul: Living with Alzheimer’s & Other Dementias

Thursday, May 29, 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Amy Newmark, publisher of the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series, brings a heartfelt version to Wilton Library.  The collection of 101 stories in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Living with Alzheimer’s & Other Dementias, a joint project with the Alzheimer’s Association, is filled with love, lessons and inspiration from caregivers and even some patients. This book will be a source of support and encouragement throughout one’s caregiving journey, and it is also a great way to help fight for a cure, since all royalties from the book go to the Alzheimer’s Association.  See the registration link for more speaker details. No charge.  Co-sponsored by Wilton Meadows and Wilton Library.  Registration highly recommended.
