The Teen Summer Reading Program is underway now, and ends on Friday August 15th. Weekly, teens entering grades 6-12 can access EVANCED, the online program to record the number of pages read. There will be a weekly drawing for $10 gift certificates. The end-of-summer grand prize will be a $100 AmEx Gift Card. For more details, stop by Teen Services or call 203-762-3950, ext. 243.

Camp Half-Blood Fun-raiser

This summer a mysterious glowing symbol will appear above your head that will confirm what you’ve always secretly known – you are the child of a Greek god. Join other half-bloods at the Wilton library for a summer camp like no other! Based on the acclaimed children’s series Percy Jackson and the Olympians written by Rick Riordan, this day camp will include all the training a growing half-blood needs to survive ancient Greek monsters in our modern world. You’ll be claimed by a Greek god, solve a prophecy foretold by the Oracle of Delphi, make your way through the Labyrinth, and much more! This program is a fundraiser for the Children’s Library. Registration in person. Payment must be made at time of registration. $55.00 per child. For children going into Grades 3 thru 6.
Adult Summer Reading Program – Literary Elements
Monday, July 7 through Sunday, Aug. 17, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Be a part of Wilton Library’s first-ever adult summer reading program. Online registration begins Monday, July 7; the program ends Sunday, August 17. List each book you read this summer (from July 1 – August 17) by writing a brief review, and be automatically entered into a weekly drawing for a Wilton Chamber of Commerce gift certificate. Books for Babies

Bring your wonderful baby to this infant friendly program at the Wilton Library. We will sing and play and enjoy gentle stories geared for babies under 12 months old. This is an excellent forum to meet other new parents in the area. No registration, no fee. Caregivers must be present.
Wonderful Ones and Twos

This program is a sharing time for 1 and 2 year-olds and their caregivers. The emphasis is on books, with some songs and toy time. No registration, no program fee.
Look, Listen and Learn
Tuesday, July 8 through Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2:15 – 3 p.m.
For 3 and 4 year-olds with caregivers. By interacting with stories, singing songs and acting out finger plays and rhymes, children in this program gain pre-reading skills and learn how to participate in a group setting. No registration, no fee.
Tuesday, July 8 through Tuesday, Aug. 12, 4:00 – 4:45 p.m.
For independent listeners ages 4 – 7 years. This is a story time that provides children with experiences that enrich early literacy. Children will hear stories, watch short films, sing songs, and do a craft. No registration, no fee.
Electronics Tinkering Workshop for Teens
Tuesday, July 8, 3 – 5 p.m.
Want to learn how to make a blinking night light and other cool electronics? Over the course of four sessions (7/8, 7/10, 7/15 & 7/17), teens entering grades 6-12 get a hands-on introduction to C/C++ programming and the Arduino-based platform. Afterwards, take home your Arduino to keep experimenting and creating. $25 per student for all four sessions to help offset costs. Bird House Decorating
