The Teen Summer Reading Program is underway now, and ends on Friday August 15th. Weekly, teens entering grades 6-12 can access EVANCED, the online program to record the number of pages read. There will be a weekly drawing for $10 gift certificates. The end-of-summer grand prize will be a $100 AmEx Gift Card. For more details, stop by Teen Services or call 203-762-3950, ext. 243.

Adult Summer Reading Program – Literary Elements
Monday, July 7 through Sunday, Aug. 17, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Be a part of Wilton Library’s first-ever adult summer reading program. Online registration begins Monday, July 7; the program ends Sunday, August 17. List each book you read this summer (from July 1 – August 17) by writing a brief review, and be automatically entered into a weekly drawing for a Wilton Chamber of Commerce gift certificate. Books for Babies
Tuesday, July 8 through Tuesday, Aug. 12, 10:15 – 10:45 a.m.
Bring your wonderful baby to this infant friendly program at the Wilton Library. We will sing and play and enjoy gentle stories geared for babies under 12 months old. This is an excellent forum to meet other new parents in the area. No registration, no fee. Caregivers must be present.
Wonderful Ones and Twos
Tuesday, July 8 through Tuesday, Aug. 12, 11 – 11:30 a.m.
This program is a sharing time for 1 and 2 year-olds and their caregivers. The emphasis is on books, with some songs and toy time. No registration, no program fee.
Look, Listen and Learn
Tuesday, July 8 through Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2:15 – 3 p.m.
For 3 and 4 year-olds with caregivers. By interacting with stories, singing songs and acting out finger plays and rhymes, children in this program gain pre-reading skills and learn how to participate in a group setting. No registration, no fee.
Tuesday, July 8 through Tuesday, Aug. 12, 4:00 – 4:45 p.m.
For independent listeners ages 4 – 7 years. This is a story time that provides children with experiences that enrich early literacy. Children will hear stories, watch short films, sing songs, and do a craft. No registration, no fee.
Teen Iron Chef
Tuesday, July 22, 3 – 5 p.m.
Teams of 3-4 kids will bring their imaginations and innovative skills to the chef’s table during three different rounds — appetizer, main dish and dessert. Each team will have a basket of required foods as well as a pantry of add-ons to select from. A panel of judges will announce the winner of each round, as well as the overall Champion. Entries will be judged on taste, creativity and presentation. Teamwork is a must! For students entering grades 6-12. Limited space. Registration required.
