Everyone is covered in this fundraiser – from tots to teens in the Brubeck Room with selections from board books and picture books to young adult novels; to a full Book Cellar featuring a large assortment of items including bestsellers, fiction and nonfiction and categories such as mysteries, gardening, travel, biographies and more; gently used, new, collectible, rare books, and DVDs. For music lovers, the sale boasts more than 1,100 classical, jazz and Latin CDs and close to 100 classical DVDs, with more than 30% of them brand new and still shrink-wrapped. For vinyl enthusiasts, more than 400 records in pop culture music are offered.  All the music is priced to sell. Everything is new since our April sale.  Proceeds benefit library. 

Early buyers with $5 admission on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 9 to 10 am. Sale is free to public from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, Sunday, Sept. 24 from 1 to 5 pm and Monday, Sept. 25 from 10 am to 5 pm (All items half price on Monday).

ROAR's (Ridgefield Operation Animal Rescue) Therapy Dog Program will be bringing a therapy dog to be read to by children.  The use of trained therapy dogs in reading programs can result in children who feel comfortable reading out loud, read more often, attempt more difficult books, and look forward to reading. As they improve their literacy skills, they’re not just learning how to read, they’re learning to love to read!  Children must read independently to participate in this program.  No program charge, registration is required.  Register online or call 203-762-6336.

Sale is free to public Sunday, Sept. 24 from 1 to 5 pm and Monday, Sept. 25 from 10 am to 5 pm (Monday is half-price day).

In this one-on-one session, let us introduce you to our electronic embroidery machine and personalize a tea towel, apron, baby’s bib or burp cloth. Aprons are available for $7. All other items are $5. For 7th graders to adults and 6th graders accompanied by adults who are willing to learn too.  Must have a valid CT library card and signed Innovation Station Agreement Form. Please bring the completed form to the workshop. Registration required. Register online or call 203-762-6342.

The library’s Awesome Autumn Book Sale fundraiser takes place Saturday, September 23 through Monday, September 25. In addition to all the wonderful book bargains one can imagine, this year the sale boasts more than 1,100 classical, jazz and Latin CDs and close to 100 classical DVDs, with more than 30% of them brand new and still shrink-wrapped. For vinyl enthusiasts, more than 400 records in pop culture music are available. Everything is priced to sell.  The sale offers early buyer admission on Saturday, from 9 – 10 am for a nominal $5 fee.
