In case you missed it…and you probably did…The Man from Nowhere is a Korean film about a man with a secret past.  Tae-Sik is a loner, a secretive owner of a dingy-looking pawnshop.  However, he has a soft spot for the serious young girl who lives next door, So-Mi.  She is ignored by her drug-addict mother and enjoys the attention (and food) that Tae-Sik provides.  When So-Mi and her mother are kidnapped by the local drug gang, Tae-Sik risks everything to find them.  We soon see that he is more than meets the eye.  If you enjoyed Taken or Man on Fire you will like this action-packed adventure with heart.
