My husband and I are home this week for some much needed rest and relaxation!  We’re quickly discovering that there are many wonderful things to do in this area!  On Monday (it was a glorious day!), we went to Ellis Island.  I grew up being able to see the Statue of Liberty from my window and I am still overwhelmed by her beauty.  There is so much to see on the tour to Liberty Island/Ellis Island!  So many languages spoken and my view of how it was to come to this country really got a dose of reality.  The park rangers are so nice and knowledgeable and the exhibits tremendously informative.  The boat tickets you buy ($12 per adult) allow you to visit both the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island and Ellis Island.  Here’ are the pictures my husband Michael took and put up on YouTube. . .
