Many of us are using smartphones, tablets, computers, etc., to store important and vital information. Do you know what you would do if that device breaks or otherwise stops working? Without a backup, your information might be gone forever. Hard work, priceless photos and the like can be gone in the blink of an eye. Invest a little time researching how to backup your computer (and then do it regularly). At the very least, back up your documents and other data files to a flash drive–and then, put the backup in a safe place. That safe place should not be in the same room or building as the original device. Consider backing up to the cloud. Here are instructions on backing up an iPhone to iTunes and/or iCloud. If you have a different device, do a Google search for “backup NAME OF DEVICE to computer.” You know the old saying. . . Better safe than sorry.
