The news came out yesterday (July 12). Consumer Reports has stated that it cannot recommend the iPhone 4. Consumer Reports says that they have “confirmed that there is a problem with its reception.” They tested three different iPhone 4 models that were purchased from three separate retailers. They are not convinced that the AT&T network is at fault for the iPhone 4 signal issues. Check out the Consumer Reports blog for further information.
This is not good news.
