The terrible news about the 8.9 magnitude earthquake that hit Japan today (March 11, 2011) caused me to find this site:  NOAA’s National Weather Service West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center which has issued a tsunami warning for the coastal areas of California and Oregon from Point Coincepcion, California to the Oregon-Washington border and also for the coastal areas of Alaska from Amchitka Pass to Attu, Alaska and tusani advisories for the coastal areas of California from the California-Mexico border to Port Concepcion, California and also for the coastal areas of Washington, British Columbia and Alaska from the Oregon-Washington border to Amchitka Pass, Alaska.  Click here for estimated times of arrival for the West Coast.
