According to The New York Times, both Time Warner and Cablevision in their new contracts with City Hall (New York) will have to pay for failing to honor scheduled appointments. Customers would become eligible for a credit equal to a full month’s bill “if a technician does not arrive on time” and this amount decreases after 2012 when Verizon Fios becomes a competitor. I tried to find information relating to Connecticut and found nothing but perhaps this change will come to us when the Connecticut contract is renewed. I tried to contact Cablevision but one must have an account with them to contact them by email. Hmmm.
