Did you see this article in The New York Times by Claire Cain Miller? Google, the search engine we know and love, is becoming nervous over losing searches to Facebook and other social networks. While Google has dabbled in social networking in the past without success, they will try again this fall according to Eric E. Schmidt, Google’s chief executive. It will be interesting to see the results as Google’s traditional model is algorithms and social networking tools are much more subtle and personal.
