I found this Wall Street Journal article by Russell Adams on Twitter. The article tells us about how The New York Times online plans to move from a free model to a for fee model. We know that the news industry is in a bad state–where should the line be drawn between giving news away for free and running a profitable and efficient business? I have been a Times reader for so many years. . . It will be interesting to see what their new model is and just how much information consumers want and need.
