texturizer.jpg

What does that mean? Well, textorize means to create an image just using text. Are you thinking I could never do that? Well the nice people at flickr have read your mind and have software that does it for you. Enter text into the program, and it will use that text to create your image. Impress your friends (parent, pet) with your own text picture of them. How cool!

Sticky Ickies and Creepy Crawlies

October 23rd, 2011 · Books

frogIn the spirit of upcoming Halloween, we would like to point out things that should be scary but aren’t.  For example did you know the most poisonous animal is not a snake or a spider but instead a beautiful little frog? Here’s a link to some real stunners.  Another link to some outrageous looking moths, including the Deaths Head Moth, will have you not even turning on your porch light.  And a link to the scariest animals in nature includes jellyfish, crocodiles, and sharks will keep you from ever going into the water again.  At least if you do go in the water you will avoid the mosquito, which the site considers the scariest of all.  Sharks everywhere beg to differ…

What? Did we say free? Yes! And who doesn’t love free stuff. What kind of stuff you ask? Well you need to click the links to find out.  Teen freeway was one we found, Ask.com had a long list of freebie sites, and The Free Site had a 4 star rating from Stumble Upon.   A  mother actually has a whole blog about getting free stuff.   You probably do not need to be warned but be careful in sharing your email address with sites.  Unless of course, you love junk email…

Ridiculous Games…

September 11th, 2011 · Fun and Humor

school bus

Of course we love them.  We have homework, but we love the games more.  In the Crazy Ladybugs Game the object is to have the lady bugs merge by clicking the mouse to direct them to run at each other. Starts easy, but gets harder as you go. A fun commentary accompanies the game in Japanese…even though I don’t understand it, it sounds very cute.  And Free On Line Games has many free games too, a personal favorite is: School Bus License.  I think some of my bus drivers must have gotten their license here…
