Silvermine Guild Arts Center January 9 - February 3 Noon - 5:00am New Members Exhibition Each year in the spring and fall, artists are selected, through a jurying process to become new members of the Silvermine Guild of Artists. This exhibit showcases the works of five new Guild Artist members inducted in the spring and fall of 2012. Wilton Library Association 4:00pm - 5:30pm WLA/WHS Scholarly Series: A Star Spangled Nation: The War of 1812 -- The War Connecticut Hated The War Connecticut Hated – Walter Woodward Sunday, January 27, 2013, 4 – 5:30 pm Wilton Library 137 Old Ridgefield Road, Wilton, 203-762-3950 , ext. 213 In this third lecture, Walter Woodward will discuss the political impact of the war, especially on Connecticut and its citizenry. Walter Woodward is a State Historian of Connecticut, Associate Professor of History, University of Connecticut, author of Prospero's America: John Winthrop, Jr., Alchemy, and the Creation of New England Culture, 1606-1676 (2010) and the recent article: "The War Connecticut Hated" published in Connecticut Explored.
