Mythology Club for KidsWednesday, March 14, 6:30-7:30 pm
Each month children in grades 3-5 will read a book on a mythological theme and discuss it. Snacks will be provided and an activity or craft will be made. The book for the month of March is Archer’s Quest by Linda Sue Park. Caregivers must remain in the building for children under 12. Registration required. Sponsored by the Sherman Family Fund.
Twenty teams of three students each in grades 4, 5 and 6 from around Connecticut and beyond answered questions about paleontology, especially dinosaurs. Our two teams of Wilton students prepared for five months and worked incredibly hard (meeting once or even twice each week). Their diligence paid off handsomely because they took First and Second Place in the competition! Thanks to Coaches Darrell Fennell and Katherine Fennell for preparing the students so well. We are also grateful to Coordinator Andrea McElroy who took care of the many arrangements. Special thanks to Library staffer Lesley Keogh for all her work on this program!
