Kids ages 8 and up are invited to join Wilton Library’s Minecraft Computer Club. A server for Fairfield County has been set up with a virtual world where the Minecraft community in Wilton can meet and the club welcomes the enthusiasts. Please note: Minecraft is a subscription-based, online game. Players must bring their own laptop and create their own account. Handheld devices are not recommended because they run a Minecraft app that does not work with the same server. To be added to the Fairfield County server you must visit the Children’s Desk with a valid library card to be registered. Caretakers must sign in their child with staff member. If the child is not present and signed in by 10:10, the place may be given to a waitlisted child. Caretakers must remain in the building. Registration required; no fee.

Terrific Tales for Twos and Threes

Join us for hand clapping-toe tapping songs, finger plays and stories that encourage emerging language skills. No program charge. No registration required. Children must be accompanied by caregivers.

Let's Make Something!

Using the concept of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) a member of the Children's Library staff will facilitate a different activity every Tuesday through June 7 to allow children to explore, create, innovate, design, imagine and just have a lot of fun! At 3:45 on the day of the program, tickets for that afternoon's program will be handed out on a first-come-first-serve basis at the Children's Reference Desk. Space is limited. Snap Circuits- Explore the basics of electricity while you build exciting projects such as a sound activated switch, a two-speed fan, a musical doorbell and more! Programs are open to children in 1st through 5th grades.  Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a caregiver. Children under 12 must have a caregiver in the building. Books for Babies

Bring your wonderful baby to this infant friendly program at the Wilton Library. We will sing and play and enjoy gentle stories geared for babies under 12 months old. This is an excellent forum to meet other new parents in the area. No registration, no fee. Caregivers must be present.

Fun with Lynn Lewis

3D Printer Demo for Children

Tuesday, Jun 14, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Curious about 3D printers? A 3D printer will be set up by the Children's Library Desk so that registered children ages 6 and up can stop by the Children's Library desk and learn more about this new technology! A library volunteer will demonstrate how the 3D printer works and answer all your questions. If time permits you will also get the chance to design a small object and see it print! Registration recommended. Ages 6-12, parents should stay with children 8 and under.

Summer Reading Kick Off

Time to sign up for Summer Reading! Wilton Library’s theme is 'Welcome to the Jungle of Books' in honor of our new Children's Library entrance. Kids can come and sign up for a summer of reading fun, and enjoy a bounce house and jungle games and activities! With the help of an instructor and Code Studio by Code.org, students will work at their own pace to learn about algorithms for computers and basic steps to create art and animation. The program is open to children ages 6 through 8 with some or no coding experience. Registration required. Supported by the Amadeo Family. Caretakers must stay in the building.

Flaming Goat! And Other Mini-Games
