Children in grades K-2 are invited to join us weekly for a story and various STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) activities. This fun and hands-on program will include a read-aloud of a popular children's picture book along with a correlating STEM craft and activity and a whole group science demonstration. Bring your wonderful baby to this infant friendly program at the Wilton Library! We will sing and play and enjoy gentle stories geared for babies under 12 months old. This is an excellent forum to meet other new parents in the area. Bring dad too! Caregivers must be present. No registration required.

Shakespeare on the Sound: A Midsummer Night's Dream

Children in grades K and up with their caregivers are invited to this fun performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream. The apprentice group performs a thirty-minute version of Shakespeare’s play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, created for a young audience. Mother Goose on the Loose

Mother Goose on the Loose is a themed story time for children ages 6 months to 2 years. Children will sing songs, listen to stories, move to music, and learn nursery rhymes. Felt boards, puppets, instruments, and props will be used. No fee.

**Please note-in an effort to create a small, consistent group experience, this program uses a lottery system for registration. Lottery registration forms are available at the Children's Library desk starting March 19 and must be returned by April 2. Patrons will be notified via email if they receive a spot.

Ambler Farm Reads

Children ages 2-4 are invited to join Wilton Library in a visit to Ambler Farm. Caregivers and children will meet at Ambler Farm to enjoy theme based stories as well as a nature walk. Happiness Jar: A Simple Tool for a More Positive Home

Monday, June 18, 2018 - 1:30pm

Children in grades 2 - 4 with their caregivers are invited to this hands-on workshop in which kids will be introduced to the concept of gratitude. They will explore gratitude through various kid-centric mindfulness activities; they will make their own gratitude jar and they will discuss and learn different ways they can fill their happiness jar and use it. Parents are encouraged to participate and can make their own happiness jar along with their kids or a single family happiness jar. This workshop is being led by Life Coach Professional, Anju Pandey.

Reading is Out of this World! Summer Reading Program.

Wednesday, June 27, 2018 - 10:00am to Friday, August 24, 2018 - 5:00pm

Join Wilton Library this summer for our Reading is Out of This World! Summer Reading Program. Children can register on Wandoo Reader, an online reading log to keep track of their reading anywhere they go as long as they have an internet connection. By reading, logging, and completing challenges, kids will be eligible for benchmark prizes throughout the summer. The Reading is Out of This World! program stimulates kids' imaginations with wonderful stories and fun activities while learning about space. Drop-in story times, drop-in activities, large-group enrichment and entertainment programs and animal visits are just some of the events planned though August 24. Think of us as your free stay-at-home summer camp experience. The summer reading program is funded by John and Susan Steitz, with STEAM programs made possible by the Amadeo Family. Reading prizes are sponsored by the following local area businesses: Goldenberry, Party Zoom, Subway, Sky Zone, and others to be announced. Summer Reading Kick-Off
